What we collect
- Account: your email address, name and role (young mind or mentor).
- Profile: your city, goal, a short line about you and the areas you pick.
- Mentors: your public mentor profile (experience, areas, languages, availability) and, if you add it, your LinkedIn link so we can review you.
- Activity: session requests, their status, session times, meeting links and notes.
- Messages to us: what you send through our contact, demo and safety-report forms.
What others see
When you send a request, that mentor sees your goal, city and the details you add. They see your full name only after they accept. Your email is never shown to other members. Approved mentors’ public profiles can be seen by everyone.
How we use it
To connect you with mentors, run sessions, keep the platform safe and improve MENTit. Trust and safety staff can see account details only when a report or check needs it, and every such view is logged.
What we never do
- Sell your personal data.
- Show your phone number to other members.
- Record sessions without telling both people first.
- Show institutes the content of your sessions.
Your choices
You can edit your profile from your account page at any time. To get a copy of your data or delete your account, send us a message from the Contact page and we will do it for you, except records we must keep by law.
Under-18s
Young people under 18 need a parent’s or guardian’s permission to use MENTit, which they confirm when they sign up.
Institutes and companies
When you join through your college, incubator or employer, they see totals and attendance for their programmes, never the content of your conversations. Reports show aggregates, not individuals.
