Trucking firms are involved in a number of platforms, including asset management, business processes, data, fleet management, and technology. It is advantageous for businesses to be able to immediately engage in platforms. Intelligent automation is transforming how businesses run by leveraging technological advancements to improve operations, customise consumer experiences, and improve decision-making. As organisations move beyond normal process automation to AI-powered automation to revolutionise how work is done, it is one of the most important drivers of corporate digital transformation. This idea is supported by a number of projections for 2030: - Everyone will have a total of 15 linked gadgetsThe market for truck-as-a-service is expected to exceed $99.2 billion — A fully autonomous vehicle will require one billion lines of code. 3 – The number of sensors in the cosmos will exceed 100 trillion. Approximately 4% to 80% of commercial cars will be networked.

 

The need for green powertrains is being driven by environmental concerns. Green goods transportation concepts, which are increasingly being integrated into greater virtual shopping experiences, are also having a direct influence on the trucking business. And non-traditional, outside competition is expected to offer new concepts in goods mobility, which will have an influence on present and future income sources. Commercial vehicle companies may employ digital reinvention to develop outstanding experiences, novel strategies and business models, new ways of working, and new knowledge, either internally or through ecosystem collaboration.

New consumer expectations are being created as a result of technological improvements, and alternate goods mobility models and the sharing economy are offering new development prospects. Simultaneously, new unconventional competitors are joining the trucking ecosystem, harnessing digital technology to develop new business models and modes of transportation. When asked which growth paths are most realistic, the Visionaries rank expanding into new client groups and developing new fleet services offers at the top of the list. When we looked at replies from CEOs in different countries, we found that «targeting new consumer segments» was the top potential for development in Brazil, Germany, and Sweden.

The industry is at a fork in the road once again, but this time it's different from previous forks. To prosper, trucking businesses have to create new strategies, goods, services, and capabilities in order to expand into new markets, optimise worldwide footprints, and run sustainable operations. Trucking firms must make a choice. They may use digital technology to reimagine their businesses, bringing new experiences, a new focus, new ways of working, and new worker capabilities to the table. The following actions are suggested:
