If working in an organization or a company, working in a team is not uncommon. Many times, a person will be needed to work with others in order to finish the task. There are people who have never worked in groups or people who prefer working alone, for them working in a team becomes a little difficult then.

Working with others in coordination and harmony is not something that happens immediately after the groups are formed. It takes time for people to get accustomed to others operating near or with them. A great example to showcase this would be the very prominent boy band ‘The Rolling Stones.’

THE ROLLING STONES AS A TEAM-

The Rolling Stones was one of the very oldest boy bands formed during the 1960s. Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Woods, Brian Jones and Charlie Watts are some of the main members of the band. The boy band has been playing together for more than 50 years now.

According to them, the most important key in playing together for so long is practicing together. The boy band says that teamwork is what all the members believe in the most. Practicing together and working as a team is what helped them reach their goal.

They have made it a habit to practice together each day. The boy band said that the reason they achieved excellence is that they made their teamwork a habit. Every member of a team needs to agree and be satisfied with the approach the team is using. Practicing together has become second nature to them. They know that they will succeed only when they work together as a team. Moving forward together will ensure success. Practicing

MAKING WORKING TOGETHER A HABIT-

The members of the Rolling Stones revealed that the whole band practiced for two months straight before every tour. This is the dedication the whole team had made to reach their goals. This was the time that allowed each member not only to work on their own self but also practice with the other band members. This provided the team an opportunity to connect with the collective rhythm.

They had been practicing together for so long that it had become a habit for each one of them. They would look at each other in a single glance and know exactly what the member was about to play, this is what teamwork is; and can be only achieved when working as a team is made a habit.

According to Kieth Richard, he would take one look at Charlie Watts’ left hand and know exactly what was going on. If the tempo was going off, the band members would understand it with a single glance from Keith Richards.

This is exactly what is called working as a team. Just by a look, the teammates know what is wrong, how it should be corrected, what are the next steps need to be followed.

LEARNING-

Each member has a very distinct role in the team, yet they complement each other. They achieve individual goals as well as the goals of the band. This is what working as a team means. They understand their personal goals and use them to help the team move forward. Any person in any team should inculcate the habit of working in a team to reach somewhere together.

Teamwork is a result of practice and dedication for a long time. And The Rolling Stones are the greatest example of it.
